The Gatekeeper's Cottage is located at 315 West Coast Road, Yaldhurst, Christchurch, 10 minutes from Christchurch International Airport.

Christchurch is internationally known as ‘The Garden City’ of New Zealand, because of its beautiful parks and public gardens. Christchurch has a wealth of exciting attractions on offer to suit every taste – you can relax in a punt on the Avon River, take a gondola to the top of the Port Hills, or simply stroll through the magnificent Botanic Gardens.

The International Antarctic Centre is a definite “must see” and has been giving people the opportunity to experience the awesome and magical beauty of Antarctica first-hand for 15 years. Other attractions in Christchurch include riding on a vintage tram in the central city, cruising Lyttelton Harbour to view dolphins and other wildlife, or exploring the Arts Centre, Art Gallery, Christchurch Cathedral and Canterbury Museum. In winter, Christchurch boasts a variety of nearby ski fields.
